Crown Plaza hotel
The Crowne Plaza is the largest hotel in Switzerland and is composed of two buildings: one very modern and the other slightly older. Each building has its own swimming pool and fitness centre. In spite of its size the hotel offers an intimate, welcoming atmosphere to business and leisure travellers alike. The 496 guestrooms are all spacious and equipped with a wide range of amenities, including a free bottle of mineral water provided daily. The hotel's stylish "Carlights" diner-style restaurant serves a generous, healthy buffet breakfast and light meals at lunch and dinner. Alternatively, the Crowne Plaza’s gastronomic restaurant - "L’Olivo" - is decorated in neutral, soothing shades. The hotel also has a stunning atrium bar - "Le Clin D’oeil" - which features dramatic lighting and its own small humidor. The TopForm fitness centre is equipped with the latest high tech machines and offers a wide range of beauty services from massages to facials.

Comment
The hotel is located near the airport and from landing until being in our room took under half an hour. The only minor criticisms were that the pool/jacuzzi and spa areas could have been warmer and that bar service was sometimes a little slow. For some reason you cannot get a coffee in the bar after 2300.
Top Tip
The hotel provides a free Geneva Public Transport pass and buses are frequent clean and reliable. Bus 5 runs every 10 minutes most of the day and takes 10 to 15 mins into the city centre. We found no reason to use a taxi during our stay, public transport is very good. If travelling around Switzerland during your stay, as we did,you can get the train from the Airport Station direct to most major cities in the country.
For a very good value lunch whilst shopping in Geneva try the restaurant on the 4th Floor of the Manor department store.
Cafe de Paris serves great steak and chips (but no good for veggies as this is the only item on the menu!!)
Get the train to Brig have lunch thence train to Bern and then back to Geneva, great views of the mountains and countryside.
